The Andrie Rose Inn story begins in 1950. It was then, Andrie Rose, the former owner, opened her home to travelers. She offered fairly priced overnight accommodations, and created a welcome refuge for area visitors and skiers. Andrie Rose was so successful in attracting skiers, many other people took notice, Six short years later, February 1, 1956, the town opened a ski area 1 mile away on Ludlow Mountain. The ski area was and still is, called Okemo.

Whatever the season, guests are never at a loss for having things to do. The summer and fall are filled with arts and craft fairs, antique shows, music festivals and summer theater. Weston, Woodstock and Ludlow offer shopping for wonderful local produced goods in small village settings. Manchester Center offers some of the finest designer factory outlets for the serious shoppers.

Lakes, waterfalls with secluded swimming holes, hiking, tennis, golf, canoeing, kayaking, horseback riding and biking are within minutes from our Inn. The Vermont Country Store, Vermont artist’s studios, antiques are only a short drive away. The Killington Gondola, a 3 1/2 mile Arial ride, provides a wonderful vantage point to capture the fall foliage. During the winter many guests head for the ski trails or a romantic sleigh ride. There are five major ski resorts within 35 minutes from the inn.

Okemo Base Lodge is 1 mile from our door. Okemo provides weekend and holiday period shuttle service from our door to theirs. Completely eliminating the parking hassle. Boot up here in our ski shed arrive at Okemo ready to ski or ride.
